This is my fox, he's white and brown.
You can't really see but he's wearing a frown.
I hide him and hunt him most every day,
And as of just now he has nothing to say.
I searched for his voice box, I squeezed him too tight
And now I have noticed he's quit the good fight.
He silently lays by the fire with me
I still hold him down, I can't set him free.
Will you look at this! I am becoming a celebrity! I am so excited to tell you that I had my first book signing. We read poems and I was showing people all about my travel carrier that I ride in on the motorcycle. My nose would have liked to lead me on an exploration adventure but there were rules. I think I was pretty well behaved for a wild hunter in a public forum. I think I will do this again. It was arf-fully fun.
Every morning my hewmun braids my ears. Just kidding.... She strokes my ears and tells me how soft they are. Sometimes she kisses me, but only when there are no other hewmuns around. I kiss her randomly whenever I feel like it. I am not ashamed of loving a creature of another species so much that I would do anything for her. Well, almost anything. I have a difficult time coming to her call when I am on the trail of a mouse. But hey, that is like calling her away from a Lindt Chili Chocolate Bar. Same same.
It's snowing today. Just when we thought spring was almost here. My hewmun seems a little "under the weather". I thought I would encourage her with thoughts of motorcycles and road trips. There is a tunnel made of ice and snow but there is a headlight at the end of that tunnel, and we will navigate that tunnel together.
Popcorn? Did I hear you say POPCORN ?? I'm sure I heard you say popcorn! Are you just teasing me? Hey Bears! Come on! She's making POPCORN!
The winter sun shines on my skin,
And dogs like me with coats so thin
Love to bathe in pools of light
That chase away the chills of night.
I remember that sweater!
It's too small for me now.
I grew a few inches
From eating my chow.
I still like the snow,
I snuffle around.
There's mice under there!
I can hear their sound.
Way back then
I learned how to hunt
Even though just a little runt.
(In my book I have documented some pretty awesome hunting adventures.)
"Wieners Are People Too" is my favourite book. Of course...It's all about me Cupcake. In this book you will find out that I have learned how to read. I am fascinated with books. They taste so fine! You will also see me on my motorcycle in some very scenic spots. I love to ride. You know, "Long blonde hair blowin' in the wind..." except in my case it will be ears. I want to give a copy of this book to some of my little human friends for Christmas. Do you know anyone else who would like a copy? You can purchase this book on many online book stores. Here is a link for one. www.amazon.com/Wieners-Are-People-Too-Pocketbook-ebook/dp/B07DYBC35C
Rain rain go away
By the fire I will stay.
Safe and warm inside the house,
But WAIT! There's not a single mouse!
That's okay, my belly's dry
And I can't hear the coyote's cry.
My bowl is full of tasty foods
And I am in the best of moods.
OK... Really? This is real? I mean, is this really real fur? I mean, where did it come from and who.... Never mind. I don't want to know. But what I DO want to know is...what is stopping this from happening to me? I mean what makes me different? How do I know that one day you won't...uh...never mind. Let's not go there. But I would like to add that it would be nice if this didn't happen anymore. Can it stop happening? OK? Please?
I am Polecat's human. She has difficulty fully expressing herself without me. So I told her I would write and post photos for her. She wants you to know that she is a poet.
